Lake Conroe Attractions

Lake Conroe is located in Montgomery Texas and claims shorelines in the towns of Conroe, Montgomery, and Willis. This being true, the Lake and surrounding area offers attractions and forms of entertainment including boating, fishing, shopping, live music, plays and orchards.
  1. Lake Conroe

    • Lake Conroe is a large clean lake that is an excellent place for boating, fishing, and swimming. The lake is home to several species of freshwater fish including black bass, white bass, breams, and catfish. Boating is also popular here and boats can be rented at one of the several Marinas the lake has to offer. Specifically, The Palms Marina, which features over 200 slips and a fuel dock comes highly recommended. Swimming is also allowed in designated areas.

    Kings Orchard

    • The Kings Orchard is located outside of Conroe and Montgomery in the town of Todd Mission. The orchard is renowned for its bountiful haven of strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and figs. It also features many different sorts of flowers for every time of the year.

    Crighton Theatre

    • The Crighton Theater is located on downtown Conroe. The theater has been recently restored to resemble an authentic vaudeville-era theater. It hosts stage plays, musical performances, dance recitals, and symphony performances all year round. Show tickets sell out in advanced so it is advisable to reserve your tickets early.

    Conroe Outlet Center

    • If you're a shopper then don't miss a trip to the Outlets at Conroe. The outlets hold over 60 shops, including but not limited to Tommy Hilfiger, Guess and Liz Claiborne. Additionally, there are many speciality stores where discounted clothing, furnishings and gifts can be found.

    Montgomery

    • As the third oldest town in Texas, Montgomery is a historic place to visit. What began as a trading post in 1826 has developed into a modernized city with a historical downtown element. The downtown district features various shops, diners, boardwalks and historical museum stops.
