Smyrna is known as the \"Jonquil City,\" referring to the many yellow flowers that line streets and adorn gardens in the spring. It is a town outside of Atlanta that prides itself on having a warm, friendly, small town atmosphere. This town offers residents a city-run library with art exhibits, a community center, a business friendly environment and other features. There are also several places that would pique visitors' interest.
The Legacy Links Golf Course and the Atlanta Fox Creek Golf Club and Driving Range offer visitors two golf courses, located side by side: the first is Legacy Links, a course that Larry Nelson, current star of the Senior PGA tour, designed. The par 58 course offers players a fast round that challenges players of all levels and abilities. The other golf course is the Fox Creek Golf Club, which according to the official website, \"The course features Bermuda grass fairways and new champion bermuda grass greens.\" Like the Legacy Links, the course was created to provide a challenge that's not time-consuming. The driving range offers more than 100 tee stations for players to refine their skills. According to the official website, \"Sports Illustrated Magazine named the combined facilities as the Best Practice Facility in the Southeast.\"

Taylor-Brawner Park is a 10-acre park which boasts two historic houses: the first is the Taylor-
Brawner House, built in 1890, that has carriage lanterns, a wraparound porch and a peaked roof. The other is Brawner Hall, an enormous 20,000-square foot mansion, which now encloses offices, classrooms and special halls for receptions. The hall has hardwood floors, plantation shutters on the windows and many restored fixtures of the hall's original time. The park itself features hardwoods with accents of jonquils, a gazebo, a playground and two pavilions. Both buildings are open to the public.
