Helsinki Night Clubs

Helsinki is the capital, and largest city, in Finland. Because it is the largest city, it has the most vibrant nightlife of any Finnish city. If you're looking to go out in the city, you have your pick of nightclubs--from dance clubs to live music clubs to more relaxed venues with DJs.
  1. Kaarle XII

    • Kaarle XII is a two-level, multi-bar live music venue which opened in 1976. It features live bands, cover bands and DJs spinning all kinds of music. The bar also sponsors various theme nights, including Toga Nights, 60s Nights, Beach Nights, Pirate Nights and other costume parties. The extensive bars are separated from each other, allowing them to be rented individually for parties. For private parties, age limits are negotiable; however, for public access, the minimum age on Tuesday and Wednesday is 18, and for Thursday to Saturday it is 24.

    Belge

    • Belge is a two-level Belgian-themed bar and restaurant. With an extensive beer and wine list and Belgian food, it attempts to brand itself as a relaxed bar offering its patrons the finer things in life. There are various places, including a large library-themed room and an outdoor patio, in which to relax after work; the bar attempts to create an inviting atmosphere for its patrons.

    Ladymoon

    • Lady Moon is a straightforward nightclub with theme nights. It holds "Club 3.3" nights, Ladies Nights and it is also host to "Club Anvil," a fantasy-goth night. It is open every night from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. with DJs and bars.

    Storyville

    • Storyville, a jazz club in Helsinki, is a New Orleans-themed jazz club featuring live music, a full bar and Cajun food. The club has both local and foreign bands as well as the occasional DJ. Music runs the range from blues to swing to zydeco to big band and everything in between. Because it features so many live bands, tickets must be purchased.
