The bright red sign that you can see from the Highway 34 Overpass will lure you over to this popular Corvallis nightlife destination. It attracts locals as well as students from Oregon State University, located in Corvallis. The music at FireWorks features small bands, frequently playing acoustic music. The music tends to fall into the folk music genre and bands often tell stories with their songs. It's not a place for dancing the night away, but somewhere to relax with your friends and enjoy local bands and food. Monday nights feature unsigned bands and individuals competing in an open mic night for prizes.
Bombs Away Cafe offers a variety of music for you to dance to, or just sit at a booth and relax listening with a group of friends. Bands here range from folk artists to tribute bands such as a regular Bob Marley reggae tribute band. Local blues bands perform here, and there are even nights for hard rock fans featuring tribute bands for artists such as Black Sabbath. Many evenings the entertainment is free, but a cover charge is required on Saturday nights and for other nights when announced. There is a gluten free menu for concert guests.
The students from Oregon State tend to dance at Cloud 9. Cloud 9 is a restaurant and bar that features a dance floor and live bands after 9 p.m. every Friday and Saturday night. Those aren't the only nights for entertainment though. Live bands play several other nights throughout the month. Cloud 9 has a schedule of live entertainment on its website to help guests find when their favorite bands are playing. The bands range from country and blue grass to hard rock and heavy metal performances. Music is not the only entertainment offered at the Cloud 9 night club, there are also comedy performances as well as open mic nights for amateur talent.
