Bourbon Street Night Clubs

Known as the birthplace as jazz and the center of Mardi Gras debauchery, New Orleans is a major tourist destination for the late night crowd. New Orleans is the largest city in Louisiana, and the city is teeming with activity. Bourbon Street is one of most densely packed streets in "The Big Easy," and night owls exploring the city will have no trouble finding a nightclub on the street to dance and drink the night away.
  1. The Saloon

    • The Saloon is a country Western themed night club attached to the Bourbon Cowboy bar. The small Saloon, which has a capacity of 125 people, is decorated with red velvet couches, circular wooden tables and saddle barstools. Guests who are feeling rowdy can go into the Bourbon Cowboy and ride the mechanical bull for a small fee. The club also offers billiards, and karaoke on some evenings. Music usually runs in the country vein, although other pop hits sneak in occasionally.
The club is open until 5 a.m. on the weekends.

The modestly furnished club has a raised stage, a phone booth sized area for the DJ and tables around the dance floor. Weekend nights usually feature a DJ playing top 40 hits, hip hop, house and techno, while most weeknights feature a live blues performance, sometimes with piano accompaniment. The bathrooms are notoriously clean and have an attendant. Drinks tend to be on the pricier side, but the club often has generous happy hour specials.
