Buganvilla has 24 one-bedroom apartments and six studios, and all have balconies or terraces with ocean views. The apartments and studios are fully furnished and have kitchenettes, a safe, pay-per-view satellite TV, telephone and hair dryer. A housekeeping service comes five days a week. Kids and adults each have their own swimming pool at Buganvilla. Guests can also enjoy a sun deck, solarium and a social room. The reception desk is open 24 hours and can arrange for car rental. A laundry service is available at the complex, as well as a computer station with Internet.
There is no restaurant at Buganvilla, but dining establishments La Colina, Opera Café, Don Pepe and Servifonia Plus Si are all within a quarter mile. Buganvilla's website says that supermarkets and a recreational center with mini-golf and tennis are also located within a quarter mile, while the San Agustin shopping center is less than two miles away.
Buganvilla has eight different pricing periods throughout the year, with the highest prices in August and the lowest in May and June. Rates drop slightly for stays of seven nights or longer. The minimum stay is two nights.
Five reviewers on the tripadvisor.com site rated the Buganvilla four out of five stars, with comments describing it as a quiet hotel with beautiful views and praising its "super" location on the beach. Former guests logging onto holidaycheck.com gave it an average rating of just under four stars on a six-star scale, with its best ratings coming in the room and location categories.
Nearby attractions include Playa del Ingles and Maspalomas, both about three miles from Buganvilla. Playa del Ingles is a hot spot for nightlife and shopping, while Maspalomas has the island's largest golf course as well as 400 hectares of impressive sand dunes. Part of the dunes has been declared a nature preserve. Good destinations for day trips include the beach town of Playa de Mogan, which is 28 miles away, and the historic towns of Aguimes, 15 miles away, and Arucas, which is 37 miles away.
