How to Take Over a Territory in GTA: San Andreas

In "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," known simply as "GTA: San Andreas," you're able to start gang wars to fight over territories. Knowing how to wage a gang war while playing "GTA: San Andreas" gives you the opportunity to build up your notoriety as Carl. Knowing how to take over another gang's territory helps you dominate the game as the lead character while facing a non-stop scourge of urban violence set in the early 1990s.

Instructions

    • 1

Cruise San Andreas in any car you've chosen. Use your gang's vehicles, which are parked in your home garage, or steal one from traffic.

    • 2

Look at your mini map for color changes. Your gang color is green. If an area is highlighted by pink, purple or another gang color, enter this territory.

    • 3

Aim your weapon out the window of your car when you spot rival gang members. They're often seen wearing their colors walking the streets in different territories. Shoot them.

    • 4

Shoot as many gang members in the territory as you can. After you cause enough of a scene as a rival gang member in rival territory, you'll be notified that you've started a turf war.

    • 5

Beat the clock and kill as many gang members with your posse to eliminate the rival gang from the area. The color over the territory will change to green once you've achieved this.
