How to Convert SEK to GBP

SEK is the code for the official currency of Sweden, the krona. If you travel outside of Sweden, you’ll need to convert your money to another currency. For instance, when traveling to the United Kingdom, convert your currency to the British pound (GBP). Exchange rates are constantly changing, so it’s best to convert an amount of money with an online currency converter that uses the most up-to-date exchange rate. Once you arrive in the United Kingdom, you can go to a British bank to exchange your money.

Visit a bank branch in the United Kingdom to exchange your Swedish currency to British pounds. While there are various places you can convert currency, such as airports and hotels, banks and ATMs will provide the best conversion rates. The bank will allow you to exchange larger amounts of money and won’t charge you extra fees (as you would incur from ATMs). If you want to exchange before traveling, you may also be able to go to a large bank in Sweden that carries British pounds, as it is a regularly-used currency. A local branch likely does not carry other currencies, though.
