How to Convert One AUD to GBP

AUD is the abbreviation for the Australian dollar, the official currency of Australia and various surrounding islands. GBP, on the other hand, is the British pound and the currency for the United Kingdom. Currency rates are constantly changing with the markets, so to convert from one currency to another, it's best to use an accurate, up-to-date online currency converter. It's helpful to find out the currency exchange rate when performing international transactions or planning a trip to a foreign country.

  Open a Web browser and log on to Bloomberg's currency converter (see Resources).

  Leave "1" in the "Amount" field, since you want to convert just one Australian dollar to British pounds.

  Click the drop-down menu next to "From" and select "Australian Dollar (AUD)."

  Click the "To" menu, and select "British Pound (GBP)."

  Click "Convert" to reveal the converted amount. The amount is based on the most recent currency exchange rate.
Yahoo!

  Log on to the currency converter on Yahoo! Finance (see Resources).

  Click in the box on the left side and type "Australia." Select "Australian Dollar (AUD)" when it appears in the list.

  Leave "1" in the Amount field on the left side. Look at the figure on the right side, which displays the converted amount in British pounds.
