How to Make an Appointment With the US Consulate in Toronto

The United States Consulate General at 225 Simcoe St. in Toronto offers visa services to those wishing to visit the U.S. as well as consular services for American citizens. Keep in mind that appointment procedures differ between visa applicants and U.S. citizens requiring passport or notarial services. Also, be aware that many items are prohibited in U.S. consulates, including cell phones, laptop computers, backpacks, luggage, purses and any food or beverages, according to the Canadian U.S. Embassy Web site. The consulate has no facilities to store these prohibited items, so be sure to leave them at home or in your car before attempting to enter the consulate.
