Find your map. There are numerous sites on the Internet, like Rand McNally or Google Maps, which will give you access to any number of maps. Whether you just need to go from point A to point B, or when you need a map of a whole city, if you look hard enough you'll find it.
Save the map to your computer, just in case you need the map again. Save it to your desktop, so it'll be easy to find.
Insert your microSD card. If your computer doesn't take the microSD size, you might have to first insert it into a regular SD card adapter. After you've done this, insert your SD card adapter into the SD card reader on your computer.
Save the map to the SD card. To do this, just right-click the map icon on your desktop. A number of options will appear in a drop-down menu, and you'll need to click "Send to". Then you will be asked to click the drive letter assigned to your SD drive.
Stop the SD card before ejecting. On some computers, if you don't stop the hardware before ejection, it will damage the information on the card. Right-click the hardware icon on the toolbar and select, "Safely stop hardware."
Follow the prompts and when the message appears saying it is safe to remove the hardware, eject the SD card adapter.
Check to make sure your map file saved. You don't want to get out on the road and realize you don't have your map.
