Obtain a passport-sized photo. The photo must be 2-by-2 inches and show your head and shoulders. You can purchase a passport size photo at a local post office or select FedEx and Walgreen locations.
Make a photocopy of your student ID or official transcript. You must prove you are a full-time student enrolled in an accredited institution to acquire an ISIC card.
Make a photocopy of an official document that proves your age. You must be older than 12 years of age to obtain an ISIC card. Use an ID that proves your age and provides a recent photo of yourself, like a driver's license, passport, or state-issued ID card.
Pay the fee. As of 2009, you must pay $22 to obtain an ISIC card. You can pay by credit card, debit card, checkbook, or money order. Add $3 to apply by phone.
Order your ISIC card. You can order the card via phone, online, or in person at an ISIC-issuing office. To apply by phone, call (800) 223-7986 or visit the ISIC website (see "Resources" below) to apply online. To apply in person, locate an issuing office online (see "Resources" below).
Send in your documents. If you applied by phone or via the Internet, fax your documents to the phone number provided. If you applied in person, you should give your documents to the worker at the issuing office.
