There are four ways to get a UK passport application. Visit a local post office that offers passport services, download online from the DirectGov website, have one mailed to you by calling 0300 222 0000 or apply directly online. You will need to submit two identical color photos with your application. You must have one of your photos certified. You should have the person who countersigns your passport application also certify one of your photos. To certify your photo, the person will write "I certify that this is a true likeness of" and then sign and date the photograph on the back.
