Jamaican immigration requires Canadians to carry a government-issued photo identification and proof of citizenship for entry into the country; however, upon returning to Canada, these papers may not suffice. Canadian Foreign Affairs states, "A Canadian passport is the only reliable and universally accepted travel and identification document available to Canadians for the purpose of international travel."

In addition, submit a medical history statement proving you are free from communicable diseases, an affidavit of financial support, one passport photo, a round-trip airline ticket originating in Canada, and a registered-mail envelope along with your Canadian passport, which should be valid at least six months after you intend to leave Jamaica.
