Jamaica requires citizens of many countries to obtain tourist visas before entering. However, citizens of certain countries are exempt from the visa requirement, including the United States, Japan and Commonwealth countries. India is a Commonwealth country; Indians therefore do not need a visa for stays in Jamaica of up to 180 days (six months) for either work or tourism. For stays longer than 180 days, arrangements must be made with the Ministry of National Security while in Jamaica.
Indians do need a valid passport with at least six months remaining validity from the date of entry into Jamaica. The passport should have at least one blank page to allow for entry and exit stamps to be placed.
Aside from a valid passport, Indians and all other Commonwealth citizens must have with them upon entry a return ticket home and proof of sufficient funds to pay for lodging, food and all other expenses while in Jamaica. Proof can be in the form of bank statements or a letter from an employer with salary information.
Visitors must also provide an itinerary and any business letters or invitations if entering for work or business.
