  Read the "Privacy and Computer Fraud and Abuse Acts Notices and Disclaimers" and check the box, signifying that you've read the policy. Then click "Submit."

  Type your last name, date of birth, and the last four digits of your Social Security Number in the appropriate fields. Then, click "Submit" to learn the status of your passport renewal application.

Checking the Status by Phone

  Call 1-877-487-2778 during business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. EST, excluding national holidays) to speak with a representative.

  Press 1 to receive information in English or press 2 to receive information in Spanish.

  Tell the representative that you want to check the status of your passport renewal application.
