Set an appointment for renewal at a passport office if you are a resident of Colombia. Make the appointment at the nearest Colombian Embassy if you live outside of the country.
Take three recent photographs of yourself, 3.5 x 4.5 cm in size. They are required to be in color, against a white background.
Locate your current passport. Make two copies of the first page to include with the application materials.
Prepare to present a Certificate of Citizenship if necessary. You will need one copy of each side of this document as well.
Take your documents to the Embassy or passport office at the time of your appointment. Complete a passport renewal application and pay the processing fees. There is normally an expedited service available for an additional charge.
