How to Renew an Argentinian Passport in California

Citizens of Argentina who are in the United States may renew their passports by presenting themselves at any Argentinian consulate and following the passport renewal procedures. Argentinian citizens in California may renew their passports at the Argentine Consulate in Los Angeles. Applications need to be made in person, and supporting documents must be presented at the time of application. The renewal fee is $30, and must be paid when you apply for your renewal.

  • 2 - 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" passport photos, in color, taken in the right, 3/4 profile position

      Check the expiration date of your passport. If it has expired, or is about to expire, you will need to present yourself at the consulate office as soon as possible.

      Purchase two new passport photos. The pictures must be 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" in full color. The photos must be taken in a 3/4 profile, with your head to the right.

      Gather your supporting documents. You will need to present your original birth certificate and you Argentine National Identity Card at the time of renewal.

      Go to the Argentine consulate in Los Angeles. It is located at 5055 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 210 in Los Angeles, California. Customer service hours are 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

      Fill out your application for renewal and present your passport, new photos, and supporting documents.
