Philippines Passport Requirements

A passport is a document that allows you to travel internationally. Requirements for passports vary by originating source and are established by the government of that country. In the Philippines, the embassy provides the list of current rules and regulations for passport issuance. Obtaining the necessary documents for international travel does not have to be a harrowing experience. Know what you need before entering the office and the process will be easier.
  1. General Application Rules

    • You must apply for the passport in person. A completed passport application form must accompany you when you apply for the passport (see the resources section for link to a downloadable form).

Applications must have both left and right thumbprints. Pay the fee and other charges for passport application. Review the form and instructions to determine the current cost of a passport. Review the second page of the application form for a current list of additional requirements. The requirements may change periodically. You should check the current version of the form for information.

    Photo Requirements

    • Submit three colored photos of the applicant taken within the last six months. All photos should have a royal blue background. You must be dressed in reasonable, light-colored attire. Clothing must have a collar and sleeves. Men may not wear earring in the photos.

    Supporting Documentation

    • The following supporting documents may be required for your passport. Not all documents may apply to you. Take any that do with you to the office with your application and photos.
