The two-page visa application asks for passport information, citizenship, reason for wanting to come to Canada, the applicant's itinerary, past employment and education. To qualify for the TRV visa, applicants must have a valid passport issued by the country of citizenship that has at least one blank page. The TRV visa will not be issued for longer than the validity of the passport. Two additional color passport photos must be submitted along with the application.
TRV applicants must show documentation of sufficient funds to support the applicant and any dependents while they are in Canada. Acceptable documents include the previous month's bank statements or a letter from the applicant's employer verifying expenses will be covered while in Canada.
Australian citizen who wish to travel to Canada on a TRV visa must provide a travel itinerary while in Canada. The itinerary should include arrival and departure dates, travel airlines and any additional travel that the visa applicant plans on doing while in Canada.
For those Australians who would like a TRV visa to temporarily work or go to school in Canada, documentation verifying temporary employment in Canada or a Canadian school acceptance letter must be submitted.
