Locate the Bolivian embassy or consulate nearest you if you'd like to apply for a visa in person (see link in Resources). Otherwise, apply online by visiting bolivia.visahq.com. You will need to provide the same documents in both cases.
Determine if the purpose of your visit is for tourism or business and print the appropriate Bolivian Visa Application Form (see link in Resources).
Provide a national passport with at least 6 months of validity remaining and a color passport photo 4.5-by-3.5 cm in size. It must be a frontal portrait of the face, taken against a white background and without any glasses or anything worn on the head.
Include a copy of an International Certificate of Vaccination, or "yellow card," in your passport. This document is required in countries where there are increased health risks, such as Bolivia.
Present a confirmed itinerary or airline reservation with your application. Also include a copy of confirmed hotel reservations and a recent bank statement to show proof of sufficient funds for your stay.
Submit your complete application along with the your travel documents to the Bolivian embassy or consulate, or complete the online application by sending the your paperwork by mail and making an electronic payment for the visa fees. The cost of processing will vary according to the currency of your country.
