Go to your airline's website. Login to your account, click on "My Reservations/Flight Check-in" and under "View/Change Reservations" retrieve your reservation using your record locator to review your details. If your reservation is eligible for changes, you will see a "Change" button option.
Ask what your airline policy is for changing flights if you're sick. Some will charge a change fee if you choose to cancel your flight plans due to illness and if you have purchased a non-refundable ticket, whereas other airlines will allow you to do so free of charge.
Make detail changes on the website where you have booked your travel. If you used Travelocity, for example, and your plans necessitate a change, click on "Customer Support" from the top navigation bar and then under the "If Your Plans Change," click on "Air: Need to Change (Reissue) Your Flights." Make your changes.
Review any special assistance requests you have in your reservations. Only a wheelchair request is automatically transferred to your new reservation. All other disability requests must be redone through your airline's reservations desk.
Call your travel agent if you booked your tickets with them. They can make all the changes you request and have your new schedule sent to you.
Go to the airport ticket counter and have an agent assist you with your changes.
Contact the airline's reservation center and have a trained agent assist you. They will be able to advise you of any fees as well.
