Search agency and contact information. If you are looking for public bus systems, most cities have public transit buildings, which are government agencies. Identify agency names and information by visiting the American Public Transportation Association's website (see Resources).
View the agency's website to search for ticket information. Search city transportation agency websites, such as the City of Phoenix Public Transportation Agency's site, using the terms "monthly tickets" or "monthly passes" (see Resources). Purchasing your monthly passes online also allows you to learn about special programs, such as the reduced and free ride programs offered by the Chicago Transit Authority (see Resources).
Ask the bus driver. The drivers normally posses a lot of knowledge and should be more than willing to share this information with you. They may have monthly tickets available for you to purchase as well.
Inquire about discounts when you buy a monthly pass. There also may be specials for tickets purchased on specific days of the month.
