The Grants to Media Artists program provides grants to film, video, new media, audio and aboriginal media artists. The program also provides grants to New Media Residences, which allows artists to collaborate with other established artists and people associated with emerging technologies.
Another grant within the Grants to Media Artists program is the Travel Grants to Media Artists. This grant allows Canadian media artists, curators and art critics to travel outside of their home town to go to events or other activities associated with their art.

The Grants to Media Arts Production Organizations is a program that provides operating assistance to nonprofit media organizations run by artists. The grants will cover either one year to two years of operation costs.
The program provides three levels of assistance: Level 1 provides assistance with start-up costs; Level 2 provides assistance with annual operating costs; and Level 3 provides operating assistance for more than one year.
The Media Arts Commissioning Program provides support to Canadian artists who are creating works that will be presented locally, nationally or internationally. The grants go to Canadian artists who are expressing themselves using film, video, new media or audio.
These grants can be used to pay for production costs, promotion fees and artist or commission fees.
The Assistance to Distribution Organizations provides grants to Canadian non-profits run by artists who distribute media arts. The organization must promote Canadian artists who create films, videos, new media or audio art.
This grant is generally a two-year grant. It assists with the costs of distribution, promotions and administration.
