JetBlue closely follows U.S. government flight regulations regarding what carry-on items are permitted. Containers of liquids, aerosols, and gels must be 100ml or less in volume and carried in a clear plastic zip-top bag. Failure to package the items as mentioned above will result in the items being confiscated. If you would like to carry more, such items should be packed in your checked luggage, which does not have any limits on liquids, aerosols, or gels.
Each passenger is allowed to bring two carry-on bags when boarding a flight. The larger item must be stored in the overhead compartment if it has dimensions no larger then 24 inches in length, 16 inches in width, and 10 inches in height. The second smaller carry-on item, such as a purse or laptop bag, must have dimensions no larger then 17 inches in length, 12.5 inches in width, and 8 inches in height. Anything larger then this will be refused at the gate, so it is the responsibility of the customer to make sure his luggage conforms to these flight regulations.
JetBlue enforces a strict policy of not allowing certain types of tools, sports equipment, and weapons as carry-on items. Prohibited items include: box cutters, scissors, razors (for utility knifes), knives, axes or hatchets, hammers, saws, and screwdrivers. Prohibited sporting equipment includes: baseball bats, bows and arrows, ice skates, spear guns, hockey sticks, and golf clubs. All weapons, including firearms and ammunition, are strictly prohibited under both JetBlue and government flight regulations regarding carry-on items.
