Compose an email message regarding your query. Compose a simple message with your question or other communication for the CBSA. The CBSA insists that you not include any personal details, such as your home address, passport number or credit card number, or attachments in your email message. The CBSA will automatically delete any messages with attachments or detailed personal information.
Send your email message to [email protected]. Alternately, you can send a hard copy letter by mail to the CBSA at Canada Border Services Agency, Ottawa, ON, Canada, K1A 0L8.
Gather any relevant information or documentation regarding your query. Have any information you think may be relevant to your case on-hand before you make your phone call. Relevant information may include your passport number, CBSA-assigned case number or the dates that you or your material traveled through Canadian Customs.
Call the CBSA. From within Canada, call 1-800-461-9999 or 1-800-959-2036 (for service in French). From outside Canada, call 204-983-3500 or 204-983-3700 (for service in French).
Explain your issue to the CBSA agent. The agent will direct your call to the appropriate department or personnel.
