Wanderlust World Wanderlust World Close the valve on the top of the LP tank. Use the crescent wrench to remove the connection from the regulator. If you smell the rotten egg smell of LP Gas, double check that the valve on the tank is closed all the way.
Transport the LP tank to the bulk refill station. The tank must be secured in an upright position. This will keep any remaining gas from escaping through the vent. Preferably, use a pickup for transportation, though you can safely transport the LP tank in the trunk of your car. Always carry the LP tank by the handles and never by the valve.
When the LP tank is filled, re-secure in the vehicle it for transport back to your home.
Reconnect the LP tank to the grill. Check that the hose between the regulator and tank does not have any kinks. Open the tank valve only two turns on the valve. Use the soapy water to dampen all the connections. If you see any bubbles forming, close the valve completely and re-tighten any loose fittings.
If you see no bubbles from the soapy water, it is safe to open the valve fully.
