Drive the motor home to a certified RV waste and dump station. Find these at certain highway rest areas and campgrounds. Pump out the entire contents of the black water tank at the facility. Drive the motor home back to your parking lot or work area. Set the emergency brake and disconnect all water lines. Turn the main circuit switch off.
Open the housing panel door, usually at the rear-right side of the motor home. Put on your protective gear and pull the hose off the tank. Use the screwdriver to loosen the hose clamp, then use the adjustable wrench to pull the hose off the tank. This hose runs to the toilet and may contain trace amounts of liquid and waste. Be prepared for this to ooze out during the removal.
Remove the tank from the housing panel. Wipe up and clean the housing.
Go inside the RV to the bathroom and disconnect the hose off the back of the toilet to ensure no accidental flushes take place, spewing waste into the housing panel.
