Cheap Summer Holidays

Many people like to take vacations during the summer months. Even though taking a vacation can be a lot of fun, it can also be pricey. Whether you want a vacation filled with adventure or a more relaxing one, there are vacations you can take that won't cost you a fortune.
  1. Camping

    • If you enjoy nature, try taking a weekend camping trip with a few close friends or family members. If you have never camped before, look for a campground close to your home. Camping is an inexpensive way to enjoy the outdoors and have fun with your loved ones. If you can borrow camping equipment, the main expenses you will have will be money for gas and food.

    Cruises

    • Cruise ships offer inexpensive packages to people who enjoy the ocean and those who want to see several places in just a few days. Depending on your schedule and budget, you can book a cruise that is as short as a few days or as long as a couple of weeks. The best way to get a great deal on a cruise package is to book your trip only a few days before your departure.

    Amusement Park

    • Spend the day at an amusement park, enjoying the rides and games. Go with a group of people to split the expenses, such as gas money. Bring a cooler filled with sandwiches, beverages and other snacks to cut costs. You can choose to come home at the end of the day or stay at a hotel near the park if you get too tired to drive home at night.

    The Beach

    • Take a trip to the beach with some close friends or family members. State parks and beaches normally have reasonable admission prices and can be fun for both adults and children. Many public beaches are free. Adults can play a game of beach volleyball, while children can build sand castles. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the sun and fresh air.
