How to Visit Valdosta, Georgia's Wild Adventures

Wild Adventures, located in Valdosta, Georgia, is a large theme park that includes a water park, amusement park rides and wild animal exhibits. The park features shows, concerts and special events as well. Here's how to make the most of your visit to Wild Adventures.

      Plan your visit to Wild Adventures theme park that's open from February to December, although hours vary throughout the year. You'll find it off I-75 (exit 13) halfway between Atlanta, Georgia, and Orlando, Florida.

      Purchase your tickets to Wild Adventures online on their website or at the admission gates at the park. The park offers discounted tickets for children age 3 to 9 and for seniors 55 or older. In addition, you get a free second day ticket when you purchase a 1-day park admission ticket. If you plan to visit Wild Adventures more than once in a calendar year, consider park passports that give unlimited park admission for an operating season.

      Check out some of the shows that Wild Adventures offers. These include seasonal themed shows and wild animal shows such as World of Snakes and Amazing Cats. Look for the show schedule posted inside the park.

      Take note of the interactive park map on the Wild Adventures website. You can click on specific park attractions for more information or print out the map and bring it with you to the park.

      Ride some of Wild Adventure's exciting rides. Choose to be a daredevil and ride the 90 feet tall Cheetah rollercoaster, or take a ride on the Ant Farm Express for fewer thrills. Cool off on water rides, such as the Tasmanian River Rapids. Children's rides are also available, such as the Rio Grande Train. Be sure to comply with all height requirements posted by each ride.

      Observe the many wild animals that make their homes inside Wild Adventures. Stop by and see the zebras, giraffes, bobcats and the many snakes. You will learn something about animals, their habitats and conservation.
