Make plans to travel to Myrtle Beach. Hard Rock Park is set to open in the spring of 2008, just in time for spring break. Parks are usually much more crowded on the weekends, so if time allows, try to hit the park during the week for a less claustrophobic feeling and shorter ride lines.
Book a flight and a room. Myrtle Beach has an international airport, which makes reaching Hard Rock Park a quick trip in a rental car from the airport. There are lots of area hotels, like Camelot By The Sea, a one-mile drive from shopping, dining and entertainment. The Paradise Resort is located in the southern end of Myrtle Beach and is perfect for families.
Bring a bathing suit if vacationing in spring through early fall, and sun block is a must any time of year. A light jacket is also a good idea, as Myrtle Beach can get chilly at night. Always be sure to wear comfortable shoes as this park is large and lots of walking will be done.
Purchase tickets for Hard Rock Park. This can be done at the gate or through their website online. It never hurts to ask if they are running any specials.
Grab a bite to eat at the park. They offer quite a few different places to eat onsite, including cafes and restaurants. Stopping for a bite is also a good time to rest from all of the excitement.
Explore all of the different areas of the park. There's a section for shopping and an amphitheater where concerts will be held that are included in the price of the general admission ticket, Other sections of the park have cool names like British Invasion, Rock and Roll Heaven, Born in the USA, Lost in the 70s and Cool Country.
