Vacations on the Tennessee River With a Boat

The Tennessee River can be found in the Tennessee Valley and is roughly 652 miles long, making it the biggest tributary of the Ohio River. It flows southwest through Tennessee, crosses into Alabama forming a border with Mississippi and then returns to Tennessee again. The river has been called the "Cherokee River" in the past, and popular country music bands such as Alabama have even performed a song about it called "Tennessee River" in the early 1980s, as well as Darryl Worley's "Tennessee River Run" in the 1990s. The Tennessee River provides a variety of activities, and many resorts along the river are popular vacation destinations if you're traveling by boat.
