How to Find People on Yahoo

Yahoo People Search is a database that contains public information that can be used to find friends and family with whom you've lost touch. You can search for people using names and locations or phone numbers. You can also search using email addresses.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to the "Yahoo People Search" page.

    • 2

Enter at least the required information in the "U.S. Phone & Address" section. If you know all the information that is requested — first name, last name, city/town and state — enter it all. Completing the form will greatly increase your chances of finding the person. After clicking on "Search," a list of names, addresses and phone numbers will appear, and if you focused the search enough, the person you're trying to find will be listed there.

    • 3

Enter the 10-digit phone number of the person in the "Reverse Phone #" section. If you know the person's phone number, the search results will yield the person's name and address.

    • 4

Enter the person's first and last name in the "Email Search" section and click on "Search."

    • 5

Choose the person's name and email address as it appears on the search list. The search may yield multiple entries, so when you choose one, you'll be redirected to the Intelius database, which is where Yahoo gets its information. Intelius gathers public information from the White Pages and other sources and puts it on the Internet for others to find.

    • 6

Match the person's name with his location and select the email address that's listed. The email address will be partially blocked. To see the address in its entirety, you'll have to click on "View Complete Email."

    • 7

Purchase an Intelius "Instant Email Lookup Report" using your credit card and see the results.
