The High Lonesome Ranch is located in DeBeque, Colorado, about 30 minutes from Grand Junction. You can hunt chukar, pheasant, quail and Hungarian partridge at this ranch. The area is marked by sage, wheat/rye fields, flats and creek bottoms. It includes a kennel with 46 English pointers and pointing Labrador dogs, and you are guided by National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Level 1 trainers. You can rent shotguns from the facility, and you can also participate in other activities such as hiking, horseback riding or mountain biking. You can stay in either cabins or the guest house.
The Smith Fork Ranch in Crawford is located within the Gunnison National Forest in Southwestern Colorado. Crawford is about 40 minutes southeast of Delta. The ranch has its own wine cellar with 500 wines and produces farm-to-table food. It offers different shooting packages, including the Sporting Life Package. This package includes three days of hunting Hungarian Partridge, quail, pheasant and chukar. You also receive an unlimited amount of ammunition, and you can stay in either the lodge or a cabin. This package also includes all meals and your guide.
This 87,000-acre fishing and hunting preserve is located on the Chico Basin Ranch in Colorado Springs, about one hour south of Denver. The ranch is open from September through March, and it offers you an area to train your dogs. It offers full-day, multiple-day and half-day hunts. It also offers an Upland Hunt Package, which includes up to five hunts, during which you can kill up to 35 chukar, 25 pheasants and 50 quail.
