Texas Fall Craft Festivals

When the temperatures finally cool off in the fall, hit the road to visit the varied craft festivals of Texas. Look for craft shows in your own area or make a day trip to discover a show you have never attended. Bring the whole family as most offer special activities to engage the children.
  1. Cottonwood Art Festival

    • The Cottonwood Art Festival, sponsored by the City of Richardson, is held twice a year in October and April. For 40 years, Richardson has hosted the fest featuring regional visual artists and artisans in a juried show. Local musicians perform while you stroll through the exhibits or munch on shrimp k-bobs, fresh pretzels or key lime pie. Bring your children to visit the pint-sized Picasso kids' arts and crafts activities area.
