Use an online radius calculator to determine the zip code radius, such as Zip Codes or Zip Radius Search and Distance Calculator. These programs are similar in nature and they allow you to calculate the radius based on a few figures.
Select the miles you want to calculate with the radius. For example, you can select five miles to 15 miles or any variation you would like. Type in the desired zip code next to the miles. Click "Find." A new window will pop up showing the results. The results will show the distance, in miles, from your zip code to a zip code five to 15 miles away.
Type in two different zip codes to calculate the radius and distance between two cities, on the lower left corner of the page. There will be a section that allows you to input this information. For example, if you type in the zip code for Jersey City and the zip code for Manhattan, the calculator will calculate the radius and distance between both places. You should get a detailed report of the results.
Save the results by clicking "File" and "Save" on the upper left corner of your screen. You can save the results for a further review.
