Cruises between Cozumel and Belize on the Navigator of the Seas are only offered as part of a seven-day Royal Caribbean cruise package. The ship leaves from Galveston, Texas, then sails to Roatan, Honduras. From there, it continues to Belize City, Belize, and on to Cozumel, Mexico. From Cozumel, the ship returns to Galveston to end the voyage. This particular cruise is offered at various times throughout the year from February through December.
In general, you are welcome to wear casual attire such as shorts, flip-flops, T-shirts, slacks, jeans, blouses, sundresses and similar clothing both indoors and out according to the weather. Bring a bathing suit, workout clothes and closed-toed shoes if you plan to use the spa or recreation facilities. Seven-night cruises have four casual nights, one "smart-casual," and two formal nights for meals in the main dining room. Royal Caribbean suggests sundresses or pants for women, and sport shirts and slacks for men during the casual dining nights. "Smart-casual" calls for jackets and ties for men, while women are encouraged to wear dresses or pantsuits. Formal nights require cocktail dresses for women and suits or tuxedos for men. Onshore attire should reflect your planned activities. If you plan to spend the day at the beach, bring sunscreen and swimsuits. However, if your visits include museums or churches, more conservative clothing is recommended. Bring a raincoat or umbrella if the forecast calls for rain.
Galveston's winter highs range from the low to mid-60s Fahrenheit. However, Roatan, Belize City and Cozumel all range from the low to mid-80s during the day, and do not normally dip below 70 degrees at night. A light coat or sweater should be sufficient for the beginning and end of the trip, while shorts, T-shirts and sundresses should suffice while sailing. Average precipitation at the four port cities varies. Galveston and Cozumel are mostly sunny year-round. However, Roatan and Belize City both average more than 14 days of rain per month from September through February, so an umbrella or raincoat is advisable.
Spring and summer temperatures in Galveston average from the mid-60s in spring to the mid-80s Fahrenheit in summer. The rest of the ports average from the mid-80s to low-90s. Even the lows tend to stay above the mid-70s. As with fall and winter cruises, light clothes are appropriate for indoor and outdoor shipboard activities. Rain is not a problem for either Galveston or Cozumel during the spring and summer. Roatan, on the other hand, averages between 12 and 15 rainy days per month from June through August. Belize City averages nine rainy days per month during the spring, and jumps to nearly 20 days of rain per month from June to August. A light raincoat is a must for summer cruises if you plan on participating in any shore excursions.
