Instructions

    • 1

Get rid of all railings and fixtures from the perimeter of the roof.

    • 2

Unscrew the brackets and pry the panels loose. Use a crowbar. Take away the aluminum panels by unscrewing them. Clean the surface with a stiff-bristled brush.

    • 3

Guarantee a proper fit. This is done by laying out the new aluminum panels across the top of the RV. Trim overhang so the panels fit the right way. Cut space needed for air vents in the aluminum sheets.

    • 4

Place a thick line of liquid adhesive on the exposed roof surface. Repeat with new sheets of aluminum. Start at a corner edge. Lay the first panel, then repeat with the sealant as needed.

Place another panel over the first one. Allow it to overlap. Put a layer of sealant in the overlap section. This will decrease the chance of shifting. Repeat until you've covered the roof. Now secure panel seams with the aluminum brackets.
