Locate any potential leaks in the damaged areas of the rubber roof. Place a pan or bucket in the cabin of your RV directly beneath them; this prevents the interior of the vehicle from getting wet while the roof is being insulated.
Clean the roof of loose dirt and residue using car soap and a cleaning brush. Rinse the surface with water and wipe the roof dry with a clean towel.
Isolate the damaged sections of the roof by creating a perimeter around them with painter's tape. Apply an even coat of EPDM liquid rubber roofing over the problem areas in the roof using a paintbrush or paint roller.
Smooth the liquid rubber so that it is flush with the rest of the roof. A single-coat application is all that's necessary to effectively seal the surface.
Allow the newly installed rubber to cure, preferably in the sun. It will have dried completely when the treated area is solid upon contact.
