      Head to the Coleman Theatre Beautiful on Main Street in Miami, Oklahoma. The theater opened in 1929 and has had such famous people as Will Rogers grace its stage. Built with a beautiful Spanish motif, it's a must see for your road trip.

      Stop in Claremore for the Will Rogers Memorial Museum. It's galleries, theaters, and children's museum are dedicated to this American icon from Oklahoma.

      Drive on to Catoosa and pull over at the giant Blue Whale. Take a picture with this unusual water slide, once the highlight of a small water park that closed in 1980. Look at the nearby remains of a petting zoo shaped as an ark.

      Grab a bite to eat at The Rock Cafe in Stroud. The cafe was built in 1936 using the rocks that were moved out of the way for the construction of Route 66. It's the perfect place for refueling your empty stomach.

      Travel on to Arcadia to see the Round Barn. Built in 1898 by a local farmer this unusual barn was not only used for housing livestock and hay, but also the occasional social gathering.

      Spend some time wandering through the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum in Clinton. You'll learn about all the interesting places along the route while taking a break from the hot Oklahoma sun.

      Stay overnight at The Flying W Guest Ranch in Sayre. On this working ranch you'll see all kinds of livestock, even buffalo. Accommodations available include RV hookups, cabins and tepees. There is also a cafe on the premises.
