Call around to get quotes from car transport companies like AA-Automovers, DAS or Door to Door Auto Transport Inc. Research each company by contacting the Better Business Bureau.
Make an appointment to have your vehicle picked up, once you settle on a service. Find out if you're allowed to transport any items in your car or whether you have to clear it out completely.
Prepare your vehicle for transportation. Find out the transport weight specifications for your vehicle. Most companies require you to keep a certain amount of gas in your tank.
Fill out a vehicle condition report (VCR), a report of your vehicle's general condition, including any damage or scratches. The transport company will not be liable for any damage that was noted in the report. Alternately, they will be on the hook for any damage incurred while the vehicle is transported. You will not list any items you are transporting in the car on the VCR. Double-check your contact information.
Pay the transportation and wait for notification of the delivery time. Inspect the vehicle once it arrives, checking it against your VCR. Make note of any damage; you will have to file a claim with the transport company, or contracted carrier, if you find any damage that didn't show up during the VCR inspection.
