Does Mt. Everest pressure decrease or increase as you climb up?

As one ascends Mount Everest, the air pressure decreases.

This is because air pressure is directly proportional to the weight of the air above a given point. The higher one climbs, the less air is above them, so the air pressure decreases. At the summit of Mount Everest, the air pressure is only about one-third of what it is at sea level.
