How warm does mount Everest get?

The climate at Mount Everest is extreme, with temperatures that vary greatly depending on the season and altitude. During the summer months (June-August), the average temperature at the base camp, located at 5,364 meters (17,598 feet), is around 0°C (32°F). At higher altitudes, temperatures can drop significantly, reaching -35°C (-31°F) or even lower at the summit.

The coldest temperature ever recorded on Mount Everest was -62.2°C (-79.9°F) on 25th December, 1998, at the South Col, located at 8,000 meters (26,247 feet).
