Unlike other tourist destinations that accept only euros, Club Orient does not charge $1-to-one euro rates because it can be more costly.
Guests of Club Orient are required to sit on towels if they are not wearing clothes. Bare bottoms are not permitted on any horizontal service. Club Orient also has rules regarding public displays of affection. It is not acceptable to behave inappropriately in public places. When dancing, guests must not grope, fondle or grind. Anyone whose conduct makes the staff or other guests uncomfortable may be asked to leave. Guests are encouraged to report conduct that is inappropriate.
Those vacationing at the Club Orient nudist resort must be aware that there are restrictions when walking off the property. Nudists walking past Pedro's can be cited or arrested. Club Orient warns that though it doesn't happen very often, vacationers have been stopped by the authorities for leaving the front of the property without clothes.
Club Orient security officers patrol the grounds 24 hours a day, but vacationers are advised to take the same precautions they would anywhere else. Locking the door when leaving the room and keeping valuables in the safe provided in each room can be a protection.
Club Orient guests are not required to be nude. Some naturists like to sunbathe in the nude but prefer to visit restaurants and shops wearing clothes; this is permissible because nudity at the hotel is only an option for guests. Guests and staff do not comment on others' choice of attire, but all guests must be diligent about using a towel to sit on if they choose to be nude.
Club Orient warns guests unfamiliar with the naturist or nudist lifestyle that it is not about sex but about being unencumbered by clothes and by the social connotations that come with fashion and image. "Swinging" is not implied in the nudist lifestyle, though there are swingers in all walks of life. Swingers are generally shunned in a nudist setting, and they may be asked to leave if they make others uncomfortable.
