How to Find South Korean Cities & Postal Codes

South Korea is a small, but densely-populated country in Eastern Asia. Located south of China and west of Japan, it is home to many large cities, and a great deal of beautiful scenery. Many Americans travel to Korea to teach English, or to work with the many International corporations that are based there. Like most countries, Korea uses postal codes to route mail. To figure out what postal code your item is headed to, you need the city name: Both are easy to find online.

Instructions

  1. Finding South Korean Cities

    • 1

Launch your Internet browser and navigate to Google Maps. This is the only fully searchable map service available for free online.

    • 2

In the search box, type the name of the city, followed by "South Korea,"-- then hit "Enter" or click "Search." The map will automatically move to that city. For example, typing in "Incheon, South Korea" will bring up a satellite view of the city. You can zoom in and out using the "+" and "-" signs on the left side.

    • 3

Locate cities whose names you do not know by typing "South Korea" into the search bar. This will bring up a view of the whole country. You can then click and drag the map to move around it. Zooming-in lets you see the names of smaller towns that do not appear when you look at the whole country.
