How to Calculate Car Registration in Lahore

Lahore is a city in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The car registration tax in Lahore is collected by the Excise and Tax Department of the Punjab government. A government database called the Motor Transport Management Information System (MTMIS) allows you to calculate the vehicle registration tax online. Two calculations are possible: one for a new vehicle that has never been registered before, and one for renewing the registration on a used vehicle.

  Visit the MTMIS website (see Resources). Click on "Tax Calculator" in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.

  Select "New Registration" for a new vehicle or "Post Registration Transaction" for a used vehicle.

  Enter the required information such as the class type of your vehicle, the purchase or value price, the purchase date, the ownership information, engine size, seating capacity and chassis number.

  Click on "Calculate Fee" or "Calculate Tax." If you are registering a used vehicle, click on "Print Assessment Slip" under the "Payment Detail" section to print out a payment slip.
