How do I Dial Local Indonesia Numbers From a Hotel?

Dialing a local Indonesian telephone number from a hotel requires a little information about the telephone number you want to call. Telephone numbers in Indonesia are six to eight digits and are always preceded by a city code. The city code is similar to the area code in the United States and is one to three digits. Many local Indonesian telephone numbers are listed without the corresponding city code, so it is essential that you know where in Indonesia you are calling. In Indonesia, you always have to enter a city code even if you are calling a number in the same city.

  Find the city code for the telephone number you want to call. The city code is sometimes listed before the number in Indonesian telephone listings. The city code is one to three digits depending on the city you are calling. If the city code is not listed with the phone number, you need to know the city you are calling.
