Students who participate in the Two Worlds United study-abroad program spend either one semester (four to six months) or a full academic year (10 to 11 months) living with a French host family and attending a local public school (private school available upon request). While in France, students study French literature, math, history, biology, physics, chemistry, geography, English and a foreign language (not French), in addition to either music, art or business. Each student also enjoys the comfort of having a local coordinator, who offers support and assistance throughout the entire length of the exchange program. All students participating in the program must be between the ages of 15 and 18 and have a minimum GPA of 2.75. In addition, each study-abroad student must have studied the French language, at the high school level, for at least two years. Applications are accepted online at the Two Worlds United website.

Through PAX Academic Exchange, high school students can opt to study abroad in the summer, for a full academic year, or for either first or second semester. Students who travel to Paris through the PAX Academic Exchange are fully immersed into the French culture, as they live with a French host family and attend a local (public or private) school. Single-semester programs run five months, while the full-year program is 10 months long. Students must be between the ages of 15 and 18 years old at the time of participation in the PAX program and must have a high school GPA of at least a C+. Students must also have taken a minimum of three years of high school-level French. Typical of French culture, many PAX students do not have classes on Wednesdays, although Saturday classes are not uncommon.
