How to Apply for a Visa to the USA from Kuwait

Whenever applying for a visa, it is important to obtain the correct application and submit the required documents and fees. This is especially true when applying for a visa to the USA from Kuwait. While the application process is no more complicated than visa applications that originate from other countries, visitors, students and spouses have to account for all international travel and adhere to specific guidelines.

Instructions

  Apply for a Nonimmigrant Visa (B-1/B-2). Provide documentation of where you will reside in the United States. See Resources for the electronic DS-156 form. You will need to make a note (or copy) of the bar code number on the application to schedule an interview.

  Mail the application to the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait. Mail application to:

  Schedule an interview online (see Resources). Bring two color photocopies of your passport (only the photo page is required), application fee (as of 2009, the application fee is $131 or $40KD), proof of employment with a recent wage or salary statement, financial statement from a bank and a list of all previous travels abroad.
