Biking tours allow you to see more of Rome and the Coliseum in a shorter amount of time than walking tours. The tour requires you to be able to ride on a bike for four hours at an easy pace. The tours advertise the ability to be able to see the non-touristy areas of Rome as well as the heart of ancient Rome.
As of February 2010, Italy Segway Tours offers guided tours with an MP3 player or with a live guide. The tour does not visit the inside of any monuments or museums, but includes Vatican City, the Coliseum, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain and the Forum.

If you are interested in seeing Rome faster than a walking tour, but are concerned about your physical fitness, or just want to have fun without exercising, consider going on a Segway tour.
As of February 2010, Rome Cruiser Bike Tours offers segway tours that give you time to become acclimated to riding a Segway before embarking on a three-hour tour around Rome and the Coliseum.
Compare your experience visiting this ancient monument on a Segway to the way in which millions of people who have visited the Coliseum for centuries have seen it. Tours will not enter the inside of the Coliseum.

Walking tours of the Coliseum and Rome are slower and do not allow you to see as much as Segway or bike tours. However, you will get to spend more time at each monument or museum, and perhaps take in more of the scenery.
As of February 2010, Rome Tour Company offers an in-depth tour of ancient Roman monuments including the Coliseum, Trajan's Markets and the Roman Forum.
A licensed tour guide leads the tour, which lasts three hours. Another benefit of a walking tour above a bike or Segway tour is that your guide will take you inside the museums and monuments and explain their interiors.
